our loved ones, but when planning our financial futures, we
must be think realistically. This calculator shows you the chances of
being a widow (or widower) over your lifespan. All of us must plan ahead
-- probably farther than we think.
The 'Chance Alone' column below shows your
chance of outliving your partner at a given year in the future. This
presumes you make it to that point. The 'Years Alone' column is your
remaining '50-50' life expectancy past that given year.
In the boxes below, enter the
birth dates of you and your spouse or partner. You can also try
combinations with your kids and parents. Change the gender and health boxes as
